christiana

Hello, my name is christiana, International Ms. Olympus Leather 2010. On August 6th, 2011 I stepped down as a current titleholder. I would like to congratulate Sir Kira, the new International Ms. Olympus Leather 2011. I would also like to congratulate Master Tallen, International Mr. Olympus Leather 2011. It was a pleasure getting to know them during this year’s contest. I know that they will continue to represent the ideals and traditions of the Leather community and will represent the Olympus titles well during their title years.

During my title run I sought to represent the international Leather community by honoring the important values to Leather – trust, respect, honesty, integrity, and honor – while also believing in pansexual inclusion. My goal was to travel as much as possible; attend, present classes, and judge at events; and help people find their leather journey while expanding my own. I did all this to give back to the community I love so much. So many people touched me along the way, and if I was able to return the favor and reach just one person then I would consider my year a success. I still will seek to remain active in the community and to soak up as much knowledge from our Elders as possible. One part of my journey may be over, but another one is just beginning.

It would be impossible to thank everyone who has touched me along the way, but I would like to thank boy John who has been with me through every step of the way and my Sir who has been a supportive and understanding sash widow. To my sash husband, Utah Rox, serving with you this year has been absolutely stunning and a gift. I hope we can continue our friendship and partnership.

A little about me personally, I’ve held the successive titles of Indiana Ms. Leather Pride 2009, Great Lakes Ms. Leather Pride 2009, Great Lakes Ms. Olympus Leather 2009, and International Ms. Olympus Leather 2010, I've had the honor of judging contests such as 2010 Indiana Leather Contests, the 2011 Great Lakes Olympus Leather/Indiana Master slave Contests, and 2011 International Olympus Leather. Classes I enjoy presenting include Corsetry and Corset Etiquette; Etiquette, Protocol, and Ritual; and Leather History. Sir and I enjoy presenting on wax play together. I am from Bloomington, Indiana and am collared to my husband and partner Sir Jonny. I am a voting member of the Leather Archives & Museum, a member and Presentation Coordinator of Kinky Indiana Submissives and Slaves (K-I-S-S), and am Treasurer of Bloomington Kink. Sandy “Mama” Reinhardt pinned me as her Leather Feather in 2010 at International Leather Sir, Leather boy, International Community Bootblack (ILSb/ICBB) in San Francisco.

I also co-produce two events, the Indiana Leather Contests and the Great Lakes Olympus Leather & Indiana Master/slave Contests. Feel free to visit their respective sites for more information.

Leather, in my opinion, is something intangible that lives in our hearts. It defines who we are in life and in the bedroom. I not only participate in S&M (and I REALLY love the S&M part!), but I also believe in the Leather community coming together through shared values of honor and integrity. We support each other, we sometimes aren’t nice to each other, but we are all one family. I am most often asked “what is leather”. Everyone has their own definition – and no one is more right than the next person. If you don’t know what leather is, then you just haven’t found your definition yet. Keep exploring, keep learning, and keep loving. You’ll find your way!
